NEWS ARCHIVE Thursday August 8th, 2009 BattleGroundSanDiego is selected to host the two Realm Qualifiers for San Diego in the coming months. Victor Cantu, Circuit Commissioner for the BattleGroundSanDiego Tournament Series announced today that Upper Deck Entertainment has selected BattleGroundSanDiego to partner with for the execution of the Realm Qualifiers for the San Diego region. The events solidify the reputation of the tournament series as one of the strongest in Southern California. "I am sure the high turnout from the last event was a major factor in the selection of BattleGroundSanDiego to host the events. All I can say is that we are truly proud", Victor Cantu was quoted as saying. "The locations for these events will be pivotal in a great Realm Qualifier. The events must be held in San Diego per the agreement with Upper Deck Entertainment and we are as determined as ever to represent this region with a turn out second to none." The Realm Qualifiers are UpperDeck Entertainment's version of a regional qualifier for its Regional Championships. The San Diego region is located in the realm of Tanaris. Tanaris encompasses Southern California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico. BattleGroundSanDiego is an independent event tournament organizer located in San Diego, California.
